Optimism Rewarded

Tonight we had the first meeting of the first course in the certification program.  I’m a happy camper!  27 people showed up—more than enough to make this a “go” according to the College’s requirements.  Everyone participated actively and seemed to have at least an OK time.  Before we pat ourselves on the back, we need to solicit some anonymous feedback.

One of the best things we did was to go around the room asking each person to respond to the question, “What’s one thing you want to learn during this class?”  The answers are going to be extremely helpful in planning the rest of the course.

While we’re on the subject of optimism, if you’ve never read Learned Optimism, I highly recommend it.
